As we wind down the 2023 legislative session, I would like to recognize our amazing legislative
committee. Their hard work and dedication has been commendable. The team has worked
diligently over the last few months researching, analyzing bills, writing letters, and strategizing.
The members are Lola Brooks, Kathryn Whittaker, Nicole Bengochea, Mike Walker, Wade
Poulson, Bridget Peterson, Laurel Crossman, and Dr. Diane Nicolet.

It is time to start nominating people for our annual NASB awards. All administrative assistants
have the nomination forms, and I can always send you the forms if you need them. These special recognitions provide us an opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to education and their community.

These awards inspire and motivate others, promote positive values and attitudes, and encourage innovation and excellence. By taking the time to nominate individuals or groups for an award, we can help to continue to foster our culture of appreciation and recognition for those who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others. Please email completed forms to me by Friday, August 4, 2023.
